TED Construction, a luxury Design-Build general contracting company, seeks a talented and motivated Project Manager to assist our Residential Construction Team. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in residential construction, focusing on high-end residential construction. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other specialists; hire subcontractors and laborers and coordinate their schedules
• Visit sites regularly during construction — including bid walks, preconstruction walks, in-progress visits, inspections, punch walks, and closeouts — and attend status and coordination meetings.
• Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, ensuring that the work environment is safe and that tools and equipment are in good working condition.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
• Provide on-site supervision of crews and technicians, track progress and performance in field and report to Production Manager and office staff;
• Maintain weekly communication with customers for ongoing projects;
• Resolve punchlist items on-site as necessary;
• Interface with customers for pre-construction meetings, final inspections, and address any questions or concerns during job progress;
• Familiarity with construction/ project management software;
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
• Maintain and update construction schedules and budget documents
• Respond efficiently and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, etc. to determine the specifications of the project;
• Order materials in a timely manner to maintain the construction milestones and deadlines.
• Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities;
• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met;
• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations;

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting construction documents
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Ability to create and manage Excel spreadsheets
• Experience with purchasing and budgets 
• Knowledge of the Palm Springs Building Department (Preferred)
• CA Drivers License

• Oversee all aspects of the construction project from planning to implementation

• Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
• Work closely with the Project Manager to adhere to the approved building plans and track/manage change orders
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
• Maintain a clean and safe jobsite
• Ensure all OSHA safety requirements are met onsite with personnel and their tools 
• Ensure quality control with materials and construction practices 
• Be able to lift 75 pounds without assistance
